Livestock, hunting and fishing includes raising (farming) and breeding of all animals, breeding support services, such as stud services, farm animal boarding and care. It also includes capture fishery and aquaculture, covering the use of fishery resources from marine, brackish or freshwater environments, with the goal of capturing or gathering fish, crustaceans, molluscs and other marine organisms and products (e.g. aquatic plants, pearls, sponges etc.). Also included are activities that are normally integrated in the process of production for own account (e.g. seeding oysters for pearl production). Hunting refers to hunting and trapping on a commercial basis, taking of animals (dead or alive) for food, fur, skin, or for use in research, in zoos or as pets, production of fur skins, reptile or bird skins from hunting or trapping activities. KPIs focus on resources consumed to feed the animals, outputs of their use and breeding-related aspects (such as survival, diseases etc.).
